News

In computer science, „News“ typically refers to a system for distributing updates and information over a network, particularly on the Internet. It is commonly associated with Usenet, a distributed messaging system that allows users to post and read messages organized into categories called newsgroups. News systems enable users to share articles, discussions, and announcements in a decentralized manner. The protocol used to facilitate this communication is known as the Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP). While the original Usenet model is less prominent today due to the rise of web-based news and social media platforms, the concept of news in CS continues to evolve, encompassing various digital communication formats, such as RSS feeds and news aggregators that curate and deliver content from multiple sources in a streamlined manner.
